D&M Tile installs porcelain, ceramic and wood-look tile floors in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, entryways and basements across Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic and nearby. Flat, tight and built to last for decades.
What is included in a floor tile install
- Floor check: we check the subfloor for flatness and bounce before quoting.
- Prep: old flooring removal, leveling and backer board or an uncoupling membrane where needed.
- Layout: planned from the center of the room so cut tiles at the walls are even, never slivers.
- Setting: full thinset coverage and leveling clips on every tile, so edges sit flush with no lippage.
- Grout and finish: grout, baseboard and trim reset, sealing and cleanup.

Floor tile installation FAQ
How much does floor tile installation cost per square foot?
Our labor is $8 per sq ft, including thinset, grout and leveling supplies. Tile is separate, and removal or leveling are added only if your floor needs them.
How long does it take to tile a floor?
Most bathroom floors take 2 to 3 days and most kitchens 3 to 5 days, depending on size, prep and layout. You can usually walk on it after about 24 hours.
Do I need to remove my old floor first?
Usually yes, especially with vinyl, laminate or loose tile. If existing tile is flat and well bonded, tiling over it is sometimes possible. We check during the free measure.
Can you tile a basement floor?
Yes. Porcelain tile is a great basement floor because it does not mind moisture. We check the concrete for cracks and flatness and use a crack-isolation membrane where needed.
What is the best tile for a kitchen floor?
Porcelain. It is dense, scratch-resistant and does not stain. A matte or textured finish is less slippery and hides crumbs and footprints better than polished tile.
